Random Association

Random Association is an idea generation method which allows students to systematically generate new ideas through a fixed formula. The whole premise of Random Association is to use a Random Word to provoke a reaction from the brain.

As what i understand in lesson,  a technique to generate new idea by using random word or image association, many creative idea can be created.


How to USE it
1)Get a random word
Find a random word that will be used as a stimulus for new ideas.

2) Find associations
Think about other things about which the word reminds you. Follow associations to see where they go.
the associations can be creative and also can be a bit crazy since it can acceptable by people.


3) Create New Ideas
now you can create a new idea by linking any association that u create with the problem u face.

ps:random word / image association help us trigger away to the stereotype, it create new ideal without the random word thing inside.

for example:
how to people stop smoking
random word: traffic light

metal: make it tough to smoke.
dirty: no people will take dirty cigarrete into mouth.
class task:
To create "Scary Images or Object" that will instill fear among people through out the ages
random word: CAT

 

1ST idea

claw-Put many sharp long thorn around the place make people feel itchy and pain, and no one will enter the place

scary face- put a lot of scary face at the area...no ppl will go through eventhough they are ghost...@@"

another task that lecturer is let us make a poem that describe concept of love by using chillis, concept of pain by using ice cream and comcept of happiness by using time~

mortal is shape as woman
beautiful body shape as woman
the big hole the beauty of virginity
beauty will last forever.

Ice-cream with pain
Ice-cream when i eat
pain fill all teeth
i feel the pain
from mouth to brain
make me miserable
the more pain i felt
the more i addict to it
ice-cream~

Time with happiness
the time passing by
wait for no man
just for happiness
all the time i left
is for my happiness
nothing can replace it
nothing will stop the time
only happiness
can fulfill time

lesson 4: Juxaposition

Juxtaposition is an act of comparing two random things, especially in a way that suggests connection between them and turns it into one meaningful form. For example, turns word -> image.

Stereotype is someone’s perception of first impressions: The behaviors that presumed by a group of people judging with the eyes ones outer appearance to be associated with another specific group.
example: stupid as a cow ----> stereotype
lecturer ask me some question such as say out 1 company of jean and i was say Lewis's....this can be proof that i'm stereotype .

as i know,
Analogy is mean that introduce something new to audience and compare the new material with something familiar or already know by audience...so that audience can understand easiy

example: construction workers like ants

in class task, lecturer give us some word and randomly choose by number (fate)
the word i choose is...
1)Flower Wind
2)Ice Tree
3)Fly Wind

1st task:  make a sentence of this tree word..
flower wind- black flower and wind are enemy.
ice tree- Ice on the tree will not melt.
fly wind- A pig will Fly when there is no wind.

hahaha...this is what the sentence i make.

the other task is we need to create a image that can let people see the image once and say out the word that we choose...this is my picture as below

1st - flower wind

the other task is:
merge 2 animal together that they would not be survive after merging...
i choose the fish and bettle...
this monster cannot be survive in land because cannot breath. in aqua, it also cannot be move until die...

[C]reative Mortal and Pestle

 I choose the GAME for mortal and pestle is the ideal of spinning the mortal on the top of pestle and the longer the pestle spin, and it is the winner.this game require skill and technic. 

 I choose heaven is because when people die, become an angel. maybe mortal and pestle is used by angel and mortal as the halo of angel and there is the pestle act as their shoes so they can fly and move freely in heaven.

 

mortal & pestle also can act as a weapon. maybe there is a time in ancient, people is using hard string and tight together between mortal & pestle. Pestle can as a handle and spin the mortal to hit people.

it's REALLY Pain

the other way to though is the mortal & pestle act as a GAME. the pestle act as a club and hit the incoming mortal thrown by other people
the game is very excited and really need to focus or otherwise................

So it is my mortal pestle idea.

In this week, I learn something about creativity and learn to be a creative people.
I was trying to be a creative person and yet I am training myself in every moment. XD~
In this week lecturer,
Creativity is no definition, be a creative person have many way to be and the person who is creative, he is abstract and unique.
creative also need environment or people to decide, whether you are really creative, or crazy...
How to be creative???
as i know, I need to change perception of everything, as lateral thinking to come up a new ideas.
 
In lesson 2, the exercise - creating Image of public figure as Bill Gate, the Creator of Microsoft and Lawrence "Larry" Page, Sergey Brin, the creator of Google.

there is 4 different type of succesion to define this three people as Aesthetic Organizers, Boundary pushers, Inventors, Boundary Breakers.

Bill Gate is a Boundary Pushers that taken existing idea, push it little further.
He take the existing knowledge of the computer system at his age, and he modify it and  produce it with more easier to use and valuable price to public. And yet he is the one of the most successor people in the world.

As the picture, the google creator, Lawrence "Larry" Page and Sergey Brin 
They are the Inventors, who take existing knowledge and create a new idea.
they create a Google search engine and accepted by public.
It is easy to use and very useful. When Google created, people can get information through their search engine and the information is fast and accurate.

The 1st lesson

in the 1st lesson, I know that Creativity not just in drawing and designing but creativity can be define as a research and analysis or an idea synthesis to created and perform an unique statement or subject.

about the lecturer say in this week, we need to understand the thinking process or problem solving through lateral thinking. Example, use different perspective from different angle to anything or think out of the box.

I would like to share a video, it might get interest to everybody. Through this video, it can test you that either you are a left-brain person or a right-brain person.



this is a dancer figure, perceive her as rotating clockwise then you are a right brain persona and anti-clockwise implies left brain person. IE a person whose actions are dominated by that particular part of the brain.
Left brain are apparently more logical, whereas right brain are more intuitive and feeling. I come out as right brain.
There is a different between right-brain and left brain people.
